This is a teaching qualification that will enable successful candidates to be a qualified aquatic teacher and deliver aquatics lesson.
You will have an understanding of the aquatic environment and an understanding of appropriate corrections to common aquatic faults.
Candidates must be 17 years of age at the start of the course and hold ASA Level 1 Award or equivalent. Candidates will be assessed on their practical work throughout the course by the tutor/assessor and will need to present written work in the form of the ASA Level 2 Aquatic Teacher Portfolio.
Structure of the Qualification
The ASA UKCC Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Aquatics comprises of 8 units as listed below, all of which are internally assessed by the course tutor. Candidates will be assessed through practical observations, written tasks and verbally via question and answers.
