This is a teaching qualification that will enable successful candidates to be a qualified swimming teacher and deliver aquatics lesson.
You will have an understanding of the aquatic environment and an understanding of appropriate corrections to common aquatic faults.
Candidates must be 16 years of age at the start of the course and hold SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) qualification or equivalent. Candidates will be assessed on their practical work throughout the course by the tutor/assessor and will need to present written work in the form of the SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming Portfolio.
Structure of the Qualification
The SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming is made up of a series of component parts: theoretical questions, observation record and review record, all of which are internally assessed by the course tutor and through the Swim England Qualifications Verification process. All learning outcomes and assessment criteria must be achieved and work must be that of the learner only.
Cost and Dates
The cost of the course is £650 (This includes your registration fee for the course with Swim England Qualifications and portfolio).
Inclusively: Saturday 16 & Sunday 17 October. Monday 25, Tuesday 26, Wednesday 27, Thursday 28 & Friday 29 October
